Coolmine RFC is located in the North West of Dublin, and was first affiliated to the Leinster Branch, Irish Rugby Football Union in 1980. The club entered the Junior Leagues in 1981.
The Mini Rugby Youths section was founded in 1980 and has prospered ever since in the Dublin 15. In 1985, after a number of successful years on the playing fields. Coolmine RFC purchased its current home, a site consisting of eight acres at Ashbrook, Dublin D15 NV66. A series of developments took place over the following decades, and the site now consists of
- Two floodlit pitches
- Grass Training area
- All Weather Training Area
- Modern Two Storey Clubhouse with changing rooms, a bar and function room
- Car Park
- Strength and Conditioning Centre
- 4 Outdoor Padel Courts.
The original clubhouse was completed in 1992 and officially opened the following year, by the then President of Ireland, Mary Robinson. It was subsequently extended in 2007, resulting in the building we have today. The strength and conditioning centre was added in 2021, followed by the Padel Courts in 2025.
